Shooting Star House
About This Project
Set in an open meadow with the Grand Tetons as its backdrop, the Shooting Star House (7,500 sq. ft.) perfectly balances rusticity and elegance. The exterior harmonizes with Wyoming’s landscape through reclaimed wood, brick, and regional stone veneer, while the interior blends Western ruggedness with Italian countryside charm. Expansive windows frame breathtaking views of both the Tetons and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The home’s crowning feature is its sophisticated water element, designed by Verdone Landscape Architects. With “floating” steppingstones, wooden spillways, and provincial wetland planting beds, this water feature required exceptional engineering to ensure foundation impermeability as it directly contacts the home. Inside, a waterfall-style kitchen island crafted from warm Jerusalem Gold Limestone complements the home’s luxurious aesthetic.
