Brighton Snake Creek Lodge & Crest Lift
About This Project
Sidewinder Grill, a mid-mountain lodge at Brighton Resort, was built by Big-D Signature in collaboration with Brighton Resort and Bluebird Day Architecture. This unique 4,618-sf hybrid structure incorporates three repurposed shipping containers—one for restrooms and two for a commercial kitchen. Framed with heavy timber and steel, two dining halls accommodate 180 guests, while the heated concrete terrace offers 7,600 sf of outdoor seating for dining and relaxation year-round. Located near the Snake Creek ski lift, where Sunshine and Pioneer runs meet, the Grill provides easy access and amenities for skiers and snowboarders. Big-D Signature also installed concrete foundations for 16 towers and top and bottom terminals for a Doppelmayr D-series lift, replacing the 30-year-old ski lift to enhance mountain access. Sidewinder Grill blends functionality with a stunning setting, ensuring an elevated experience for outdoor enthusiasts.
