In 2016, the Big-D chairman contracted with Berlin Architecture to design and build the 6,121-square-foot, Cody Creek residence, located along the picturesque 14th fairway of the 3 Creek Ranch golf course and tucked away among the staggering Grand Tetons. What started out as a home built on spec concluded with happy homeowners and a breathtaking home. The new owners purchased Cody Creek as it was being built and worked with Big-D Signature and interior designer Barry Johnson to adjust finishes, add interior personalized touches, and transform the build of the home into a custom-designed mountain oasis.
Unbeatable Mountain Vistas
Soon after a successful initial build, Big-D Signature was hired back by the homeowners for a second addition and remodel phase; the phases together totaled 25 months of construction. This included the addition of a prep kitchen, an art room, and a solid walnut wine room equipped with temperature and humidity controls so the homeowners could enjoy a perfectly curated wine collection while taking in unbeatable mountain vistas. Big-D also performed a master closet expansion and a laundry room relocation as part of the remodel/addition phase. Featuring an attached 3-stall garage and a detached luxurious guest house, Cody Creek is also home to a picturesque courtyard area that sets the mountain stage even more with a tranquil water feature and impressive hardscape work that ties the home’s design into the surrounding mountain majesty.
