Bar BC House

Surrounded by the tranquil Wyoming landscape, the Bar BC House is the perfect location to kick back, relax, and enjoy the simpler things in life. The 12,800 square-foot home is located just outside Jackson Hole—the valley nestled between both the Teton Mountain Range and the Gros Ventre Range.

To ensure the Bar BC House would fit in with the mountainous surroundings, our team hand-selected the stone veneer for the exterior and interior components of this exquisite home. The house also features custom railings, walnut cabinets and doors, stone floors, and spacious patios. There are several outdoor seating areas for homeowners and guests to enjoy while taking in the breathtaking views of the Grand Tetons and the Snake River.

Unexpected Guests

During construction, we were unexpectedly greeted by some curious guests. However, this isn’t uncommon for Jackson homeowners as Wyoming is home to many creatures such as elk, bison, moose, antelope, and deer. In fact, the National Elk Refuge is located just outside of Jackson. The refuge provides a winter habitat for Elk, birds, fish, and other big game animals. Historic Roots

In 1912, Struthers Burt and Horace Carncross established what was then called the “Bar BC Dude Ranch” in Jackson. Rather than converting the land to a conventional ranch, Burt and Carncross built a tourist dude ranch—a place where people could experience a bit of cowboy life. The Bar BC Dude Ranch inspired similar ranches in the area with its unique draw. The original ranch has since been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

While no longer operating as a dude ranch, the Bar BC Ranch still offers spectacular views and is home to a wide array of wildlife
