About

We are on a mission to be the most sought-after construction company in the business.

The Signature Story

Signature Group was launched in 2001 as part of the Big-D Construction brand. Though our roots go much deeper. It all began nearly 50-years ago, when Dee Livingood launched what would become one of the top 100 contractors in America. The drive and visions that Dee had for of Big-D Construction would spark an idea: utilize the extraordinary craftsmanship at Big-D to construct resorts and private estates for customers all around the country. That idea is now our reality.

What We Do

While Big-D Construction focuses on commercial projects, Signature Group focuses exclusively on residential and resort projects. Many of these projects are in remote and environmentally sensitive areas. We work with talented architects, craftsmen, and tradesmen to identify challenges during the lifecycle of these projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and are delivered to the highest standards. We collaborate with developers and homeowners to construct what will be backdrops to family photos and memories for years to come. Even after construction is complete, our job is not done. We also provide warranty services to our clients. We like to think of our projects as stories and every great story has a beginning, middle, and an end. Let us build your next story.

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP

With our main office in Jackson, Wyoming and a branch office in Park City, Utah, Big-D Signature Group works of art can be found all across the country. At each office, you will find dedicated and hardworking employees who strive to be the very best. These individuals live and breathe construction day in and day out. Failure is never an option. The Executive Leadership team will collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and homeowners to help build dreams into realities.

JACK LIVINGOOD

Chairman

Modesty. Restraint. Tenacity. Those three adjectives perfectly epitomize Jack’s persona. Suddenly it becomes even more obvious why Big-D has been named one of the nation’s Top 100 Contractors. Since 1978, Jack’s career has been focused on innovation, team building and growth. You see, it all starts at the top.

It’s been more than four decades since Jack sat on a hand-carved bench in the corner of his grandfather’s construction office, sipping from a frosty-cold can of root beer and watching intently as the respected contractor belted-out directions to his team of loyal craftsmen. Livingood recalls, “I remember thinking, he’s got the best job in the whole world.”

That job is now Jack’s.

MICHAEL KERBY

Senior Vice President

Michael started his construction career with the world’s largest contractor at the time – Morrison Knudson. Then in 1996, Michael joined Robison Construction Group as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer. Michael’s widespread knowledge of the construction industry, coupled with his expertise in finance, assisted him in successfully charting the company’s 733% growth over 9 years, reaching a peak of $425 million in annual completed projects, with more than 1,000 employees in three states.

Michael joined Big-D Construction in 2015 to establish the Big-D Signature Park City office and expand the Mountain Resort market. Under his leadership, the Signature Park City office is working on several projects at locations throughout Utah including The Canyons Mountain Resort and Victory Ranch. He is also active in the Park City community. Will Hopkins

Vice President

A 30-year veteran of the industry, Will Hopkins built his construction career on a foundation of hard work and hands-on experience — starting in the industry as a laborer and then as a carpenter apprentice and then superintendent. Will began his time with Big-D in Phoenix, Arizona in 1992 as a senior estimator. With a great spirt and ability to deliver great customer service, Will relocated to the company headquarters, which at the time was in Ogden, Utah.

Will has spent the much of his career focusing his effort on estimating, design management, and preconstruction services. In 2008, he was announced as the Director of Preconstruction services for Big-D Construction. Then in 2017, Will was promoted to Vice President of Big-D’s Signature Group.

Will’s leadership ability on diverse projects and deep roots as a builder allows him to add value at many levels. Some of his most notable projects include the Unified State Lab, the Utah Data Center, the David Eccles Conference Center, and the Utah Natural History Museum. Will builds success through inspiring communication, team motivation, and a passion for customer satisfaction.

In his spare time, Will enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, biking and spending time with his two dogs Koko and Khloe. Will is an avid photographer and loves searching for and photographing grizzly bears in their native habit in northern Wyoming and southern Montana.

Scott Dansie

Project Director

Scott, no doubt, grew up with “Lincoln logs” and building blocks. Construction is wired into his genetic code. As a young man he worked as a construction laborer, pipe layer, heavy equipment operator, grade checker and carpenter. He has “skills,” to use NBA jargon.

Since graduating from Brigham Young University in Construction Management, his entire professional life has been spent in the construction industry, with particular emphasis on preconstruction services and premier resort area construction.

Little wonder he’s been a driving force at Big-D Signature from its inception, and instrumental in developing many of the best practices and processes that set Big-D Signature apart.

His fingerprints are all over some of the most luxurious and admired estates in the Jackson Hole area. But perhaps he is most beloved for the keen interest he takes in each of a project’s many stake holders. You’d almost think “customer satisfaction” was tattooed on his forehead.
